In 1966, The Beach Boys released the album Pet Sounds in the US. The album is now regarded as the masterpiece of composer-producer Brian Wilson, and is often hailed as one of the best and most influential albums in popular music.

In 1970, Randy Bachman left The Guess Who.

In 1970, Crosby Stills Nash & Young went to No.1 on the US album chart with Deja Vu.

In 1987, U2 was on top of the charts with the song “With Or Without You.”
