building a mystery

Mysteries are intriguing and exhilarating. Mystery creates excitement and anticipation of the unknown. But once a mystery is removed and we learn how things work, the excitement is often removed as well. Once you’re on the inside looking out… the wonder, the imagination, the assumptions, and the amazement are often lost. Then, once again, we’re left with a reality that often appears unfulfilling and unsatisfying… thus prompting the search for yet another mystery. Sometimes it’s better not to know.
